Now the not so fun stuff.  For the first time in many years, every lot in the campground is full and we are anticipating a busy weekend.  No one likes to discuss the rules (the board included), but the items listed below will be points of emphasis for the staff and board of directors for the holiday weekend.

Vehicle Parking

As stated in the rules, all sites are to be laid out in a manner to accommodate parking of one vehicle on the site.  In order to conserve and maximize available space in the overflow lot, the board will be enforcing this rule and all sites must have a vehicle parked on the site prior to parking a vehicle in the overflow lot.  Parking is not allowed on common element areas.  This includes the reserved spots in front of the house and the fence line along the driveway.

Overflow Lot Parking

After utilizing the space on the site, extra vehicles from members and guests are to be parked in the overflow lot.  As a reminder, please place a card with a name, phone number, and site number on the dashboard so that in the event vehicles need to be moved around we have contact information.  Supplies are available in the box outside the Gathering Room. Do not park in areas that have “No Parking” signs posted.

Boat Parking/Dock Space

The beaching of boats and watercraft is prohibited.  In order to maximize dock space, we ask that smaller boats that can get into shallower water park closer to the shoreline leaving room in the deeper water for larger boats.

Fireworks

Minnesota legal fireworks are allowed on the beach area only at dusk on the 4th of July.  Those who use fireworks at the beach area must clean up the mess by noon the following day.

Quiet Enjoyment

Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM, however this does not mean that everyone is free to make noise outside these hours.  Article II Section 8 of the Declarations addresses “Quiet Enjoyment Interference”.  This includes but is not limited to loud music and barking dogs.

Staff

There will be staff coverage as normal during the weekend except for the 4th of July when staff will work a half day.

As board members, we want to enjoy the weekend as well and do not want to spend the entire weekend policing the park.  Please keep in mind that if a staff member or board member is addressing a member or guest regarding any of these items or other concerns, a complaint has been received and we are attempting to address the complaints of other members or guests.

Have a safe 4th of July weekend!
